If you have given up hope of ever being happy, cheer up! Never lose hope. Your soul, being a reflection of the ever joyous spirit is in essence happiness itself. If it is happiness that you want, have it! There is nothing that can stop you from feeling it. Happiness depends to some extend upon external conditions, it depends also in mental attitudes and habits of thinking. According to the great books of psychology and spirituality, the attitude of the mind is everything. Train the mind to remain neutral to conditions, if your mental attitude changes constantly because of external factors and the test of life, you are losing the battle. Your mind should not be influenced by things outside, like the news, tv shows, and music with negative sad lyrics. Most minds are like canvases, they can get painted by many colors around, but you are the artist who gets to design what shape and colors are the best, do not allow others to shape your mind and paint black in your canvas.
Change your thoughts if you wish to change your circumstances, since you alone are responsible for your thoughts and ideas, only you have the key to change them. You will want to change your thoughts when you realize that most of your thinking has been negative and when you understand each thought creates feelings followed by experiences. The main focus is to be able to take lead of your mind, take lead of your thoughts and when you find yourself going in the realm of negative thinking, acknowledge it and speak to your mind saying “I know this is my old way of thinking, I decide to change this negative thought for a better one”. Then seek for a better feeling or thought until you can control your inner negative chatter. Transform it with love, patience, and time. Nobody can do this easily, this takes days, weeks and months of training, your mind is like a muscle that needs exercise, the right foods and the right sources for it to improve and change for good.
Now is the time to start changing the thoughts that do not serve you, for new thoughts of love, health and happiness. Men and women need to understand that their own intelligence controls the atoms of his body. Breath the fresh air of vital loving thoughts, expel the poisonous beliefs and thoughts that no longer serve you and keep you stuck in the almost same cycle of life. Receive mental nourishment from good teachers, wise books, progressive minds, and practice creativity activities as painting, writing, blogging, designing, and most importantly going outside to nature. Take long mental silent walks on the paths of self-confidence, trust, love, forgiveness and exercise the instruments of introspection and initiative.
